It was the best birthday party in my existence! At 50!
My family in the USA prepared this visit for the longest time.
Asked time off at work.
Saved money.
Saved things we need.
Prepared a list of activities.
List of things we can do, rain or shine.
The list can go on, but no matter what, there are things that comes out of our control; the unexpected one and we have to be prepared for what is going to happen. Like the super typhoon that hit Manila at the end of our stay. It was crazy but we made it. More details about it on next blog.
On my 50th birthday party in the Philippines was made exclusive just for my family. I thought, the family can spend time intimately. We stayed at my sister Connie's house comfortably. Although, my Brother Kier @Quirinosadventure offered a place to stay in Valencia, we decided to stay at Cataylo's compound where it is closer to all my families home. We got to spend breakfast with Mom - having puto and chocolatte in the morning - it was the best memories, that we both remember for life.
This photo was taken on the day of my birthday - Mama and I were dressed the same, but since this was pre-ordered, my Mom's did not fit very well, it was a little tight on the shoulders. We still made it work. We sat on a chair in the middle of piled bubbles, like we are floating on ice with baileys on the rocks in our hand! Ha! My Mom never had anything like it in her life. She took a tiny sip and that is it!
The party was catered by @Popsi's - one of the best catering company in Valencia and Dumaguete. I love the very homey atmosphere we received when we booked the event with them. I highly recommend.
The giant bubble maker was from Karl - he worked with a company that offers music and bubbles - it was the best by far! Not only the kids enjoyed it but the grown ups as well. We had it tested the day before the day after and the day of the party which the bubbles ran for about 3-4 hours. My heart is full just by watching everyone happy.
Anyways, I will share more details about how we got back to the USA on my next blog.
